When Kindness Becomes a Lasting Legacy

Simple acts of kindness have a beautiful way of creating lasting impact. They may be quiet, but their warmth continues to shine — and at Redington, we celebrate these meaningful moments that truly make a difference. For Pelin Acara, kindness is not something extra—it’s part of who she is. Guided by empathy and a deep sense of responsibility, she believes that small, thoughtful actions can create meaningful change. This Women’s Day, as we honor women who boldly unlock their power, Pelin’s story reminds us how living our values can create meaningful change in people’s lives.

How do you turn Purpose into Impact?

As part of the Marketing & Communications team for Türkiye and the CAC region, I work across PR, events, channel marketing, and corporate communications. While my role shapes how Redington communicates with its ecosystem, my approach is grounded in care—ensuring that everything we say and do reflects purpose, inclusion, and respect.
For me, communication is not just about visibility. It’s about building connection, taking responsibility, and using my voice to support something larger than myself.

Tell us about an Act of Kindness that touched you deeply and you are proud of.

One experience that truly stayed with me was contributing audiobooks to the Six Points Association of the Blind, helping visually impaired individuals access books and knowledge.
What made this act especially meaningful was knowing the impact would continue. The audiobooks were later added to the electronic library of Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, making them permanently available to anyone who needed them.
I personally recorded the audiobooks both in the studio and from home, and I appreciated how the initiative made it easy for anyone to contribute, no matter their circumstances.
For me, it was a powerful reminder that when empathy is paired with accessibility, even a small act can quietly create long term impact.

How do Redington’s values inspire you personally and shape the way you create impact?

My journey at Redington has been shaped deeply by our Unlock Next vision, especially the Unlock Impact pillar. Working in a culture built on trust, inclusion, and shared responsibility gives me the confidence to turn compassion into meaningful action.
With my team by my side, I’m able to contribute to initiatives that go beyond individuals and extend their impact into the wider community. I’m especially drawn to causes centered around education, gender equality, and creating inclusive opportunities — areas where I believe lasting change truly begins.
To me, kindness and compassion matter most when they’re lived out consistently and intentionally. And that belief aligns perfectly with Redington’s values, where impact isn’t about grand gestures — it’s about thoughtful actions that build trust and strengthen the culture we create together.

As a woman who believes in giving back, how has this shaped the way you see yourself and the impact you want to create in the world?

Giving back has shaped me both personally and professionally by deepening my belief that every woman has the power to create meaningful change. For me, it reinforces a strong sense of purpose and responsibility — a reminder that small, intentional actions can make the world a better place.
From a CSR and Corporate Communications perspective, giving back has taught me that communication carries real weight only when it is tied to action — action that creates measurable, sustainable value for people and communities.
Contributing in this way brings me a sense of inner peace, but also a drive to keep doing more. It strengthens my commitment to show up as a responsible, impact driven professional — and as a woman who believes that when we lift others, we help build a kinder, more inclusive world.

How are you Unlocking your Power?

Unlocking My Power

For me, power doesn’t come from recognition. It comes from knowing that a small act, done with care, can make a lasting difference in someone’s life.
This Women’s Day, I’m proud to stand with the many women at Redington who lead with quiet strength and intentional kindness every day. My story is just one reminder that when empathy guides our actions, we don’t just unlock our own potential — we leave something meaningful behind.
